The organizing committee of the 5th SCDM2022 welcomes you to participate in the next International Conference on Soft Computing and Data Mining.
SCDM2022 conference proceeding has been published in Part of the Springer: Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems (LNNS) book series (https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-031-00828-3), will be indexed by Scopus, INSPEC, dblp, WTI Frankfurt eG, zbMATH and SCImago.
All books published in the series are submitted for consideration in Web of Science.
The Soft Computing and Data Mining Center (SMC), Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia will host the 5th edition of SCDM International Conference from 30th to 31st May 2022.
Soft Computing and Data Mining are computational research areas in Computer Science that become popular in the early 1990’s until today. While the study of earlier computational research areas could model relatively simple systems, the current study of soft computing and data mining emphasize on dealing with more complex systems which involve mathematical and analytical methods. Soft computing and data mining techniques often apply a consortium of computational techniques in computer science (like fuzzy systems, neural networks, etc.) that deal with imprecision, uncertainty, partial truth, and approximation to achieve tractability, robustness and low solution cost. Soft computing tools, individually or in integrated manner, are turning out to be strong candidates for performing tasks in the area of data mining applications, decision support systems, supply chain management, medicine, business, financial systems, automotive systems, manufacturing, image processing, data compression, and many others. Additionally, data mining techniques may also reveal useful patterns or relationships in data sets which can improve accuracy of prediction and classification tasks.
This conference is dedicated to address the challenges in the areas of soft computing, data mining and data science, thereby presenting a consolidated view to the interested parties in the aforesaid fields. The conference looks for significant contributions to soft computing, data mining and data science in theoretical and practical aspects.
Vision
To be recognised as one of the important conference in soft computing and data mining areas.
Mission
To bring together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to highlight the importance of soft computing and data mining concepts as well as establishing new collaborations in these areas.
All previous SCDM conferences has been successfully held at various locations and all presented papers has been published in Springer book series (https://link.springer.com/conference/scdm) indexed by Scopus and Thompson ISI.
